Who this notice covers
This notice applies to people using Source Editions in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia. Source Editions is operated by Astrologic, and Astrologic is the data controller for the personal information handled through this service.
Information we collect
We may collect photographs and image files you upload, generated artwork and restoration outputs, crop and product choices, account details, order and delivery information, contact messages, referral and sharing information, marketing preferences, and technical information about how the service is used.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
How we use information
We use information to create and preserve artwork, save projects, generate protected previews and production files, process payments, fulfil physical orders, provide digital downloads, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, measure product performance, and improve Source Editions.
Marketing messages are only sent where you have made a separate choice to receive them, and you can withdraw that choice.
Photographs and generated artwork
Uploaded photographs are treated as private source material unless you deliberately use a sharing or community-gallery feature. Clean canonical artwork and production masters are held in protected storage. Public or pre-purchase views may use separate protected preview files.
A public share or community submission is a separate action. We do not treat uploading a photograph as permission to use it in public marketing.
ChatGPT and plugin image handoffs
If you use Source Editions from ChatGPT, ChatGPT may provide Source Editions with an image you have authorised for a Source Editions workflow, together with the choices needed to assess, preserve, reimagine or print that image. Source Editions does not receive your full ChatGPT conversation through this workflow.
For ChatGPT image assessment and handoff, the supplied original image is stored privately in a temporary intake for up to 24 hours. If you do not continue, that temporary intake is deleted after expiry. If you continue into Source Editions, the chosen image is copied into your private Source Editions project so you do not need to upload it again. The normal project, generation, order and legal retention rules in this notice then apply.
Service providers
We use specialist providers to operate Source Editions. These currently include Supabase for application data and storage, OpenAI for ChatGPT integration and artwork generation, Replicate for production image processing, Stripe for payment processing, Prodigi for print fulfilment, and Lovable-supported hosting and deployment services.
We give providers only the information reasonably needed for the relevant service. Their own privacy terms also apply to their processing.
Analytics, local storage and referrals
Source Editions uses first-party analytics to understand journeys such as visits, uploads, generations, product choices and checkout. We may retain campaign parameters, referring domains and an analytics session identifier. We also use browser storage for essential session state, saved projects, attribution and referral information.
We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels for behavioural advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain orders and records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or meet legal obligations. Different records have different retention needs. You may ask us to delete personal information where applicable, although some order and legal records may need to be retained.
International processing
Source Editions serves customers in several countries and some service providers process information internationally. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used for transfers.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or information about the use of your personal data, and to object to or withdraw certain processing. Mandatory local privacy rights are not reduced by this notice.
To make a privacy request, use the contact page and choose a privacy-related subject.
Children
Source Editions is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review it.
